Philadelphia has been the home of Morris Animal Refuge since 1874. Our mission is to find homes for Philadelphia’s homeless animals and to improve the status of animal welfare across the city, which is why we launched the Philly Pets Program.

The goal of this program is to provide veterinary care, education, and support to pet owners in underserved areas. So far, we have focused our efforts on free pop-up vaccine clinics to improve the health of Philly Pets. These clinics provide veterinary care in the form of vaccinations and flea and tick prevention. Pet owners are also given vital information about the vaccinations, how often the animals will need boosters, and why these vaccinations are important.

All funds donated to this program will go towards hosting future pop-up vaccine clinics and other developing efforts to provide veterinary care, education, and support. Vaccine clinics and services like pet food pantries reduce the financial cost of an owned animal, which has the dual benefit of preventing surrenders and improving the overall health and welfare of owned animals in the region.
