Simba’s Journey

Simba, our esteemed senior feline, came into our care due to problems with the litter box. As often is the case, not using the litter box is a sign of a medical condition. Concerned about his health, we promptly arranged a comprehensive examination to pinpoint the underlying cause. Placed in foster care for close observation, it became evident to his caregiver that Simba was not only having accidents outside his litter box but also experiencing difficulty in urination.

Our dedicated veterinary team acted swiftly, conducting thorough radiographic examinations which revealed multiple bladder stones, a condition not uncommon among cats but can be life-threatening if left untreated. To address this urgent health concern, we transitioned onto a special urinary wet food that would be the paw-fect solution to shrink those stones.

Heartwarming Recovery & a Fur-Ever Home

We are overjoyed to report that, not only are the stones no longer present, Simba has been adopted and seamlessly settled into his new home. His FURever family has renamed him Roger. In his new home, he has quickly earned his title as the “Bed Cat Extraordinaire.” His favorite spots include the foot of the bed during the day, cozy window sills with a view of squirrels, and a special place under the desk where he keeps his human company during work hours.

Not only is Roger adapting well to his new surroundings, but he’s also enjoying his meals, staying hydrated, and has taken a liking to the jumbo litter box provided for his royal needs. Simba, once a hesitant soul, has blossomed into a confident and affectionate furball, showcasing the transformative power of quality medical care and the love and commitment provided in his new home.
