Do you have a corporate, academic, or other group that you would like to schedule to volunteer at the shelter? We welcome volunteer groups to come in to assist with animal enrichment, as well as other shelter organization projects! Here are a few things to keep in mind regarding volunteer groups at the shelter:

• As a small shelter, we can accommodate a maximum of 10 individuals for volunteer groups.
• Thursdays are the best days for scheduling volunteer groups, because the refuge is closed to the public on Thursdays–which means you’ll get to spend more one-on-one time with the animals! Typically, volunteer groups are onsite for 2 hours, usually from 12pm-2pm.
• Group members will need to sign a waiver prior to volunteering if they will be working with any shelter animals
  
• Volunteer groups that include children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for supervision.
• Volunteer group events are offered bi-weekly, and the slots are first-come, first-served. Bear in mind that during the spring and summer, group volunteer slots will fill up quickly.
