This sweet senior cat first came to us after being timestamped at ACCT Philly due to health concerns. But thanks to incredible collaboration across teams and the dedication of people who believed she deserved a chance, Lady Grey was given the opportunity for a new beginning!
Today, we’re thrilled to share that she is not only safe, but thriving in a loving home. Her adopter has renamed her Rozzie, after Rosalind from Shakespeare, a name that suits her gentle spirit perfectly. Since arriving home, Rozzie has settled in beautifully and quickly shown her personality.
Her adopter describes her as “chill as a cucumber,” especially when it comes to meeting the resident cat, Trixie. With slow and thoughtful introductions, the two are now peacefully coexisting and sharing their home. It’s always heartwarming to see cats learn to live comfortably together, and Rozzie has handled the transition like a pro.
Rozzie has also embraced the simple joys of home life. She loves getting pets, zooming happily up and down the stairs, and greeting her people with affection. In fact, her adopter says she often starts purring the moment they walk in the door, as if she’s been waiting to welcome them home.
For a cat who once faced such uncertainty, seeing Rozzie relaxed, playful, and surrounded by love means everything to us. Stories like hers remind us why we do this work and how life-changing a second chance can be.
As her adopter so perfectly put it, “This cat deserved to live out her life.” We couldn’t agree more.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happy tail possible, from the teams who advocated for her, to the people who ensured she received the care she needed, and finally to the adopter who opened their heart and home. Rozzie’s next chapter is exactly what every senior pet deserves: comfort, safety, and love.
