We’re looking for 50 pets and their humans longing to celebrate their dynamic bond in a once in a lifetime experience.
All profits from the book sales go directly to Morris Animal Refuge
You can help save the lives of countless unhomed and vulnerable creatures by sharing your story of connection and love with your rescue BFF.

How it works:
- Fill out the submission form
- One of our team members will reach out to schedule an interview with you about your pet.
- If selected to participate, you’ll be scheduled for a full photo session experience
- Those photos will be featured in the upcoming coffee table book, Letter To A Friend.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to create your own custom art for yourself, honoring your bond and story.
What you get from your participation in the project:
- Your choice of a full custom or mini photo session experience with nationally and internationally featured author and pet photographer Kristen Kidd.
- A cinematic slideshow presentation of your photos.
- A $$ credit to spend toward designing your own custom fine art and portraits from your session.
- Feature in Letter To A Friend – the hardcover, beautifully designed coffee table book
- Your first copy of Letter To A Friend
- First access to pre-order additional copies at a discounted rate for yourself or loved ones
- Two tickets to the book release party in Fall of 2025
