We received the cutest update about Zephyr the shy kitten, and had to share it with you! Here’s what his adopter shared:

“October 15, 2024, was the day my life changed forever. I was at one of the lowest points in my life and knew I needed to make a change. That’s when I decided to adopt. Initially, I considered another cat, but then I saw Zephyr. He was huddled in the corner of his kennel, terrified and cowering as if the world had been too much for him. The staff explained his story—he had been found feral in someone’s backyard and was incredibly skittish. His medical records even noted that socializing him would likely take significant time and effort. But something about him tugged at my heartstrings. Zephyr needed someone who would commit to helping him heal, and I realized I needed him just as much.

Bringing Zephyr home was a challenge, but it was a challenge I was ready to face. Over the next three months, I dedicated myself to earning his trust. Slowly but surely, the frightened cat who once shied away from every sound began to transform. He learned to trust, to play, and to show the sweet, loving personality that had been hidden beneath his fear.

Today, Zephyr is a completely different cat—a shell of his former self in the best way possible. He’s confident, happy, and loves his life. Adopting him not only gave him a second chance but also changed my life for the better.
