When Chanel, a sweet stray puppy, arrived at Morris Animal Refuge, we had no idea how much of a fighter she would turn out to be. Shortly after her arrival, Chanel became lethargic and refused to eat. Our fears were confirmed—she was battling parvovirus, a life-threatening illness for young dogs.

Thanks to your incredible support, Chanel received urgent care at the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), where veterinarians worked tirelessly to save her life. The journey wasn’t easy—Chanel’s condition was critical, and her medical expenses climbed as we tried everything possible, including a cutting-edge treatment with Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibodies.

But Chanel’s resilience was inspiring. With round-the-clock care and your generous donations to our Lifesaver Fund, Chanel began to turn a corner. Slowly but surely, she started eating, regained her strength, and reminded us all why we fight so hard for animals in need.

Today, we’re thrilled to share that Chanel has made a full recovery and has been adopted into a loving forever home! She’s now living her best life, surrounded by the love and care every dog deserves.
