After being one of our longest residents, sweet Miss Lady has finally found her forever home, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her. She’s been given a brand-new name, Carlotta, affectionately nicknamed Chickadee, and according to her new family, she has settled in beautifully.

During her time with us, Miss Lady was known for being chatty, playful, and affectionate. She would pop in throughout the day just to check in on her foster family and occasionally crawl into a lap for a full hug, wrapping her paws around them for some quality cuddle time.

She was a friend to all, comfortable with strangers and children alike, and tolerated being brushed, given medication, and having her nails clipped without any fuss. Before her adoption, Miss Lady also underwent a dental procedure, where ten teeth were extracted, and she healed up wonderfully, giving her the comfortable, pain-free mouth she deserved heading into her next chapter.

Now, as Carlotta, she’s adjusting to life in her new home and getting acquainted with the family’s resident cat, Albertine. The two are being introduced slowly and carefully and in the meantime, her family describes her as sweet, calm, playful, and affectionate, an absolute angel from day one.

We are beyond grateful to this family for opening their home and their hearts to Carlotta, and we know she was a favorite among our staff and volunteers during her long stay with us. Here’s to many years of love and cuddles in her new forever home!
