Volunteering at Morris

Do you love animals? Do you like to talk to people? If yes, we need you!

We're so glad you desire to be a part of the Morris team by becoming a volunteer with us!

The Morris Animal Refuge is very proud of the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. Volunteers help homeless animals get adopted by training dogs, socializing cats, counseling adopters, and performing numerous other tasks at our center and events. Morris offers regular orientation and training sessions for both new and seasoned volunteers.

By volunteering you will feel the pleasure and fulfillment that helping animals brings. And regardless of how you choose to volunteer, your efforts will help to make a difference in the lives of the people and animals that come through the Morris Animal Refuge.

Our dedicated volunteers can mean the difference between animals being passed over and adoption and animals finding forever homes. Whether you help at adoption events, socialize or bathe animals at the shelter, transport them to foster homes or adoption locations, or provide administrative support... you will help save lives!

The match between the volunteer's knowledge, expertise and available time and the needs of the Refuge, is very important. Here at Morris we have volunteer opportunities to fit varied schedules and time preferences. Please join us!
